Caricature vs. False Promises

I thought I’d illustrate from memory the bookkeeper who has been promising since February 2010,  to return my BIR books and tax records to me.  It’s turning out a lot like estafa!

I decided to make a public service notice because I’m not the only person she’s broken confidence with. I suspect she has gotten involved with church, just for money.

Drawing from memory is difficult, since the last time I saw her was 2009.  Fortunately, she does look closely like how I illustrated her… unless she lost weight.  She has married so her last name is no longer “Borja”.

Domus Schola Girls Visit

Mimi, Sofia, and Celestine came to visit my studio from Domus Schola yesterday. Mommy Georgina came along to supervise their interview. We talked about imagination, illustration, and communicating ideas through drawing.

Going out of the school to visit somebody’s place of work – I think it’s a very exciting way to learn more about the world.  I hope more schools will be doing this more often.
