that makes LOTS of sense
of course demons and angels are real
but the one that created them is just
poof nonexistent? ….riiiiight
totally amazing logic there max….nice
and the egyptians and greeks probably died
of naming their gods…they had one for
EVERYTHING! jeeze they had the god of dust…
try JESUS CHRIST….google it sometime….eh? eh?
if i walk alone… i will die… i can’t carry it anymore…
I love this… i understand other people’s comments about the second coming and how satan will reign during the tribulation… but this is art and it portrays an image of God trying to cast out evil….. absolutely brilliant : )
satan sounds like a much more fun guy to hangout with then “god” cus satan doesnt care if you are gay or non christian… if your christian “god” is real im going to be stocked to go to hell with a ruler who isn’t a crazy bigot like your “god”.
@ God-free-youth
Satan doesn’t care about you, period.
If you think Satan is fun well then you will be with him forever being torchered and then there will be no light of God there and you would wish to be with God!!
are we human, just puppets?? that can’t go anywhere, but keep on dancing in the palm of God?? man…
Dis painting is really nice n inspring. It shows God rules over evil
Of course Christ is coming again. Hasn’t anyone seen “Passion of the Christ 2: Crucify This!”
bullshit
I don’t give a shit on your God!
Keep it all for you!
But if he’s returning on Earth, I really don’t wanna see him! Why is he so special? The medieval age ended! Start believing in science!
Strat believing in yourselves!
@Cordosel
I believe in God,science, and myself. In that order, top-to-bottom.
I also believe the medieval age has ended, but that some people still act like barbarians.
….strat??…..medieval??…….special….
science…hmmm usefull….untill it generally ends with the self destruct of mankind….{think about it either we burn or freeze to death}
at least christian apocolypse has a happy ending
Really! I mean REALLY?
I don’t understand some of the stupid things that come out of some of these thoughts… “God, Science and MYSELF”… Why would any person in their right mind put themsleves at the bottom of any list? Do you think that little of yourself? I honestly believe that therein lies the problem w/ religion… we have forgotten how to rely on ourselves and one another… We put other things before ourselves, hoping and praying day after day wishing for miracles that will never come and you might think it humble but it is in fact simply ignorance.
And “at least christian apocolypse has a happy ending”…?? I think religion and “God’s Rule” has been the leader in it’s attempt at the destruction of mankind… it’s tortures have been an ongoing nightmare brought on by fear, ignorance, fanaticism, suppressed sexuality and rampant hysteria. All of this in the name of a god… Vice, Murder, and Corruption… The church is the very EVIL that it warns you about… the church simply is the Devil. Think about it.
Some of the most heinous crimes ever committed in the name of religion -all of them w/ papal sanction- a ferocious struggle raged to eliminate ‘error’: any belief, practice or opinion that deviated from the official papal line. Don’t blame a Devil for mankinds obvious deeds in the name of religion.
auto da fe’
Exactly!
Church is the real masked Evil!
And those who believe in God…Continue to believe in him… but if you suffer of Cancer or Leucemia, or SIDA, or many others veneric deseases…why don’t you go to the hospital?
If you really believe in God, prey to him to do something with your illness… Do not go to hospital!
This is medieval mentality!
Involution!
Start thinking and start meditating… start puting questions!
hey guys,
Let us look at the future…..satan is still not visible to us but will be on one day where we can crush him in the name of JesusChrist….there is a day gonna wait for him tat would b his final day….So let us not tempt to do any bad things which is satan’s plan to destroy us….so pls b aware of that so we can wait in the pathway of JESUSCHRIST…….MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL…..
1. holy shit there is a lot or replies. 2. god is real 3. satan is only real if you think he is real, just like freddy krugor. 4. The churches tried and failed miserbaly to contain evil, evil is eternal, evil is in mankind, you wonder why you dont hear god? look outside your window….. there is so much bad shit god said “what have i done” i mean come on sent out his offspring to die in front of hundreds of people and yet we are still a fucked up society. God wants to help, but he figured if i pull one grey hair two more sprout. Also there is no right religon, god doesnt want you do be in a religon, just live your life happy. Thats why we are all here. To be happy cause god likes seeing us happy.
geez that guy talks alot…..
…BAH!!! Joel you should start a forum i really think so!
and that “christian apocolypse” was just a hint of sarcasm, if you don’t get it don’t try you could hurt yourself. There could be no divine intervention at all and I can garantee you that mankind would find a way to destroy itself. Our nature our very foundation is considered survival of the fitest, and as cliche as I can put it: It’s HOW we survive that makes us what we are.
Furthermore stop using the word religion! for god’s sake {and i do mean that literally} Faith is stronger than any building, the church cannot and should not be accountable for Christ’s actions or words….because frankly they’re NOT him.
One has the right to put ANYTHING they believe before or after themselves it is a birthright, that ‘you-know-who’, gave to us. free will. how you wield that right is your own accord.
I respect ANY person who can put values before self.
kudos ppl
What is with people and their stupid religious-backed comments?! I saw some person threatening another blogger with his fate in Hell and how God already has plans for him, etc. I give you Christians credit.. because you are exhibit strength in times of life when others cannnot muster the same. But to speak like that to non-Christians? What about the entire Asian continent that believes in Buddhism, Daoism (Taoism) and Shinto? They all going to hell along with your antogonist blogger friend? How ridiculous.
How many people have died in the name of the religions I just mentioned? The answer is zero. So the Buddhist monk who has renounced anything but belief in his own capabilities is going to hell? Even when he may have helped street dogs, children, and drug addicts survive and endure their life? Your values are so wacked beyond belief.
Honestly, God or no God. There are a lot of people that would rather believe in their own self than a stretched story of Jesus and God. And there are no demons guys. No devil haunting us. Ghosts… sure. But little creatures running around and luring us to the dark side? Stop crediting your regilious belief for a part of human nature which we all possess. Retarded, retarded, retarded. I will welcome Hell… because at least Satan, Lucifer, the Fallen Angel or whatever you want to call him isn’t going door to door trying to turn people into a religion that has less facts behind it than the Boogey Man.
Oh no! I feel sharp pain in my chest! Oh God! Wait….
………………. I just ate pizza… must be heartburn.
Okay so LOGAN is my new Best Friend!!! Woot! Woot!
Do half of you soothsayers… you sayers of sooth even know where your religious hopes, views, faiths come from…?? I’m just curious if most even know??? Why do christians seem more preoccupied w/ Satan than w/ anything else??
Did you know about a reverend that states that “Satan never was an angel in heaven… Satan never fell from the ramparts of paradise…” According to Rev. James Weller the poet Milton is responsible for this error in the lay belief regarding the Prince of Darkness… ” the splendor of Milton’s genius (Paradise Lost) has done more to mislead the christian mind on the subject of angels and devils, heaven and hell, than any other known christian poet ; and, in point that the general belief that Satan is a fallen angel is a dangerous belief, likey to cause endless difficulties, and needing to be banished from the teachings of christianity.”
Also check out some intriguing info about the origions of christianity… The film ZEITGEIST has some origin info in the first 30 minutes but I am not a conspiracy theorist and don’t care for the rest of the information in the film… although it’s very much an interesting theory…

If one buddhist monk was to murder another or break tradition or by some turn of events denounce his beliefs, does that make every monk within his associations do the same? no. so when you use terms like “you christians”–as if people who follow christ are a different species– it’s kind of hypocrytical. You state we are beleiving a false hope and we are intending damnation on those who don’t follow. there ok are we done poking eachothers eyes out? please don’t take one person who claims to be affiliated with others and make them example for all.
I’m not remembering the name, sorry i must be RETARDED, but she stated on live TV, lordy knows that might send me to hell but i glance it once in a while just see what the sinners are up to {any of this ‘sarcism’ making it through your thick skull?} –that she would rather goto hell because it’s more fun.
ok when someone will openly run off a cliff FAR BE FROM ME TO TRY TO STOP THEM. but hey w/e it’s your choice not mine. but guess what it’s mine and everyone else’s choice to choose our fate.
and before you start talking of Lucifer {angel of light mind you} do some research.
every nightmare
every tempt to lie or steal
every thought that made your heart race
or every selfish thought of heart ache you
ever felt in you entire life….is mostly his doing
don’t beleive me? I don’t really care, does that sound rude? i also do not care.
look i may as well be casting my pearls before swine here so i’ll cut the rambling to that. all i know is i don’t look for secular art then go blasting at them for being wrong and people who do are weird….there happy now?
{be the way Logan you may have Jahovah witness’s confused with christians….get it right}
Yeah, but most christians are fucking retarded….
And lucifer is missunderstood, he is a nice guy. (sorta….)
fuck that shit “got loves all beings” what about satan and the beast. god smites them down, just like in the pick. god loves all beings is fucking shit. lies. fuck you all.
@FYA
I don’t share your anger, but I agree. To say “God loves all beings” is often said, but it can’t be true.
i believe that if i am a good person and decide for myself what is right and wrong then i dont need a book to tell me how to live my life. So tell me that even though i make the best decisions and am Athiest that i will go to “hell”. If you people say god loves us then why would he test our faith. If you Love someone you trust them you dont test their faith. Complete Stupidity.
@ Bryan
The Bible says our good is like dirty laundry (Isaiah 64:4-9) to a Holy God. Apart from the grace of God that is Christ, there is no one good on this earth. At least not up to the standards of the God of Christianity.
Secondly, God tests the faith and disciplines those He loves. As a father would a son. (Proverbs 13:24 and Proverbs 3:12). Besides, this builds character. If you don’t receive any test or discipline, you become spoiled, you’ll hate what you’ve become and you’ll hate those who didn’t care to tell you off.
And even if you don’t believe in this unseen God, perhaps you can begin with a book you can see. Before you shoot down the Bible you could try reading those verses at the very least – because they specifically refute what you are saying.
AGREED Bryan!!
If you are an Athiest then embrace what you feel… only you know in your own heart. I went to church up until 10th grade and only did it because that’s what we did… I finally realized that none of it made since to me and stopped all together and searched for answers and ideals that meant something to me and my life. If you are not a christian than what ever the bible defines does not define your life… If you are Athiest, embrace it… If you are Agnostic, embrace it… If you are a satanist (not devil worship, get educated people), embrace it… If you are Wiccan, embrace it… but as you see on this post that most people get scared when what they have always come to believe as truth is questioned… they qoute scripture as factual and on the other hand the “non-believers” get just as hostile, as we grow tired of what we are told what we are sposed to believe. “The world will show you who you are… Until you show the world”… “Follow your heart not a crusade”
Joel – In complete honesty I have dealt with that book most of my life. I was raised by the word of god and read the book when I was younger. The thing is that I have grown to see something different before me. I realized that much of the church takes away from life. Now im not saying it takes away from everyones but mine personally. I thought my parents have raised me as an honest and responsible person. I thought so what keeps me away from being a good human being if I don’t believe in god?
So I call them Mistakes you call them Sins. From my mistakes knowledge is obtained from your sins punishment is. Never seemed fair to me. And just so you know my father nor mother have never tested my faith they have trusted me and i have never done them any wrong to sadden them.
Magus – Exactly how i feel. I do not hate people for what they believe I respect them entirely. I dislike the people who tell me im wrong for my beliefs. People are much to near sighted to put perspective the way others view life. And i am not saying that believeing in god is wrong I just wanted to put my personal thought out there. I added the “complete stupidity” because i was kind of in the moment to be honest. Sorry to those who i offended.
But i am waiting for a response to my question. In relegious eyes am i going to hell or not?
God? Satan? Where is the truth in it? God and satan is real! God is tha brother of satan! And there both in the world unreveild. . . .u can c them and u cant c them. . . . . . . . . . . . . . U can feel them and u cant! But tha p0int is there real!
Actually Satan—which his name was changed when he was cast out of heaven for trying to say God had no right to rule and that he was just as powerful, was originally Lucifer, Sanctity of Light and God’s right hand Archangel, most beautiful and respected. Since Satan was created by God there’s no possible way for him to be stronger, Mikail {Michael} is in fact Lucifer’s opposite or “brother”.
but to acknowledge them is respected.
glad to know you acknowledge.
smiles come to mind when one realizes not all is lost.
Well Of course you are Bryan… If you do not feed on the lamb then you BURN!! If you do not believe in these theories then why should you care what religion thinks of your life??? The only reason people get so offended is because you cast a shadow of doubt on their belief and if they bare their teeth to attack and bite than I believe they probably already have doubt in their hearts. I just read a book called “Understanding Islam” because a close friend of mine converted… so I told her I would check it out. I was intrigued w/ some of their philosophies…. now I am currently reading ATHEISM/ Julian Baggini….
Find what your heart tells you not what the world thinks…
The heart is a hollow muscular organ of a somewhat conical form; it lies between the lungs in the middle mediastinum and is enclosed in the pericardium It is placed obliquely in the chest behind the body of the sternum and adjoining parts of the rib cartilages, and projects farther into the left than into the right half of the thoracic cavity, so that about one-third of it is situated on the right and two-thirds on the left of the median plane.
a heart is an organ no more no less, People like to say it is the source of love for some reason. Even though a good portion of people have plastic and mecha hearts.
Offense, in any sport or matter when two sides oppose eachother the offense is triggered. Something must happen in order to create an offense. something you hold dear–a child perhaps–when threatened of being taken or discredited and mere fairy tales and folk, any protector would “bare” there teeth and defend there stand point. Not doubt, just protection. not saying christianity is our child, but the possession of faith is worth fighting for.
both sides guilty of harsh words there is no victor when both sides assume they are already the winners.
Sins sounds harsh, the word itself can whip alot of other words. but words nonetheless. mistakes and sins can fall under the same category. both are forgivable–no matter what.
call the bluff if you think you know what really lies beneath the skin.
Well out of the curiosity i was wondering. I honestly don’t care what they think of me. I was speaking of most people out there like me in general. You know? like if we are good humans then will their god send us to hell. But fair enough I iunderstand now.
Well said Mell!!!
Bryan… If you know you are a good person nothing will ever change that… we don’t need approval from others nor to believe in a higher power to embrace ourselves and now we are true to ourselves… We are just meant to believe that we can not function w/out a belief in something. My belief has to be in myself to get me thru the day, to put food on the table and to take care of myself or partner when sick or troubled… we as a community of human beings need to reconnect and find the faith in ourselves we seem to have lost and the faith in each other that somehow faded w/ hysteria, fear and ignorance… namely the church and bedtime stories of gods & monsters. I’m just stating the facts and not throwing stones… Listen to your heart is just a metaphor of course but only you can know what truley lies w/in YOU… only you can prevent forest fires… wink
We as humans are perfect by definetion of our flaws. We should always strive to find our own path. which incidently can be shared by another, but the path to righteousness is narrow and the one to true devestation is wide and disguised as welcoming. Humans tend to have a funny way of thinking they know what they want, only to find it was a circling path. some do not, chance is chance and it’s game; you win some you lose some. but when the game is over, perhaps having that solid rock beneath your feet instead of a receding shoreline is better comfort.
stories are not always make believe, past down knowledge for most. only fairytales are fictional through and through.
scriptures not written by the one man who they detail but rather 40 that the words reached their mind by and thus unto paper.
i don’t know,
maybe i just sleep better at night knowing even if a natural disaster struck every human being i’ve ever known, I will never be alone or forsaken.
but that’s just me i suppose
I just stumbled across this painting, and took the time to read every single comment. I’ll start with the least important of my thoughts…
@ the guy who’s so determined that the Devil should be worshipped, your research impressed me. That’s about it.
@everyone else who seems to enjoy darkness, keep enjoying it. I guarantee you’ll be engulfed in it on your death day, and the many hours to come.
@ Mell, dont stop posting, please, I rank your comments #3, but only because Joel is #2.
@ Joel… think you can send me a copy of that painting? I promise I’ll pay for it, I’ll even pick it up if I can, but I feel the obsessive need to have it for myself…
@ MP. UK
I just dont know what to say for you. I’m a fan of articulate typistry (though typing as an art could be debatable), and you seem to know how to congregate and relay your thoughts without a single “lol.” Along with Joel and Mell, I must say I thought people like you were gone.
And now onto the subject matter…
First and foremost, EXCELLENT piece, portrays a lot. I dont see it as a cheap shot from the sky. Actually, in a debate I had with my Sunday school teacher about 6 years ago (before I decided to venture toward a path of enlightenment), she told me:
“The Devil wanted to be just like God and overthrow him to control Heaven. He was sent to Hell for that reason, to govern his own. The Devil has the power of any angel or archangel, but he is not God; he cannot create life.”
I never did find any supporting evidence for her argument in the holy writ itself, but… if her theory has any merit, it would be safe to assume the “neverending war” can go about both ways (though I doubt the Devil has such great marksman skills).
Lastly, to be honest, I didn’t realize it was the Devil being shot at. I assumed it was a jackass angel who got kicked out. Then I thought about it… Lucifer was the jackass angel at one point.
Wandering…
you’re freaking awesome.
This is the problem with humanity. We, as a species, spend so much time arguing about who is right and who is wrong that we cannot appreciate the fact that art is a universal language. Whether your art be music or Joel’s fantastic painting, that’s what this is about. Joel’s painting. Religion is a wonderful thing to have, and I am a fervent Christian. If people would just learn to accept the fact that there ARE different religions out there and that no matter what you say or do, everyone can’t believe in one way, maybe then we could start building a better society. Christianity, from another point of view, isn’t just about dedicating your time praying to God and sitting in Church breathing holy air. Christianity is about instilling good morals in people. It gives people a reason to hold on to life and to try and make things better for themselves, their friends, and family. It sounds selfish, but if EVERYONE thought this way society would be less oppressive. There wouldn’t be such words as “Racist” or “Bigot” Only friends. God never intended to have his children tear each other at the throat over who is wrong or who is right, although he knew it would happen. He let’s us “suffer’” so he can heal us. You can’t honestly be that spoiled that you expect for eternal life and happiness to just be handed to you. God uses the life he has given us as a test. He already knows who will pass, and that’s part of his greater knowledge. We simply don’t deserve to know what he does. Heck, we are lucky to even know he exists.
Unfortunately Travis your perfect sounding world of god and trust does not exist… I do agree w/ your statement :
“If people would just learn to accept the fact that there ARE different religions out there and that no matter what you say or do, everyone can’t believe in one way, maybe then we could start building a better society.”
But I do not agree that “Christianity is about instilling good morals in people”… People are people and wether you have a belief or not, most know wrong from right… It is hardly the christian majority that spreads love and joy… If anything the christian arrogance is partially the problem to the ignorance and fear in our society. Just because you believe in god and follow some book of guidelines hardly makes its followers any better than anyone else in society be it Muslim, Agnostic, Wiccan, etc.
I love that you seem to know what god intended for “his children”… Most christians should follow the example of wiccans and muslims as they follow an individual belief true to their own individual paths and don’t run thru the streets condemning everyone to hell that doesn’t except the lord jesus as their savior… The secret to a belief is to believe it and not feel the need to run out and justify it by winning others over to the “right” side… Belief is inside the believer…
Belief is a choice… and christianity my friend was not the original spiritual path… Paganism if you remember was here long before christ and you see what the christians did to pagans… wiped out like anything or anyone that doesn’t follow the loving path of their loving god… not to mention most faiths in the world are based on pagan rituals, symbols and holidays… Believe what gets you thru the day but understand that each individual human being believes in something different for different reasons… And no one individual is wrong for following what they believe is right in their own lives and path.
I’m glad that you seem to have all the answers to life but in my own opinion I think its really sad when statements are made like “He already knows who will pass” and “We simply don’t deserve to know” and know that someone can make those statements w/out laughing outloud. It really does sound so incredibly hokey… but that is your belief… and I’m sure it makes you feel good inside when making such enlightened statements. Thank You Travis… god loves you.
peace
Travis…..KUDOS! you’ve got a what I like to call a warm heart!
and made a good point about how we should just admire good art.
HAHA!! i’m sorry magus i didn’t have my glasses on i thought for a second that you said paganism came before christianity?…..oh you did….sorry.
sorry to see “feel” that way. {wiped out? are they endangered species now?}
Honestly that’s the hook; Wiccanism, Buddism, Shintoism, Muslims. “Follow their example”…what example? that mother earth is in-tune with humans spiritually and if you run naked through the forest you’ll live longer? or that complete and utter “enlightenment” aka thinking REALLY long and hard about life till you die? or that when you die you will reinstate your self back on earth as a leaf…..or a deer….so don’t eat them….they could be a relative. In fact what example do you propose? the bombing of innocent because they don’t believe in Allah? perhaps you should look closer at their “examples” before you suggest someone follow them. Or are you saying that Christianity that is, in fact, a “bad” religion and is imposing and condemning people left and right, but you know, other religions can do it….no biggie….just a moral issue, they’ll get over it.
hint hint the ten commandments? yeah the U.S gov may or may not have established as the fundamental basis for the country…..just saying.
like i said I’m more comfortable on solid bed rock then a receding shoreline.
Matthew 7:24-27 24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.
Tell yourself what you wish to believe Mell… as usual someone quoting ignorant scripture w/out knowing the facts…
“Running naked thru the woods” has nothing to do w/ living longer… and they find a balance between a god and a goddess.
The indians (w/ a feather) believe you are reincarnated and come back to the planet in another form… (who’s to say that’s not wrong)Oddly enough Muslim religion is very similiar to christian belief (no offense Muslims)
And as for the comment “the bombing of innocent because they don’t believe in Allah?” is such an ignorant statement as Allah is god (same as you believe) and the acts of 9-11 were “muslim” extremist/terrorist… they hardly represent the Muslim culture as a whole… (there are many simularities between christianity and Muslim beliefs) Pick up a book other than your bible for once… itz NOT the only way…
The United States of America was not even founded on christianity… and if you were to look up some quotes from the founding fathers… they didn’t have very many nice things to say about it either… It’s a labyrinth of contradictions
All I’m trying to say is that their are so many other ways of thinking out there… and all those who wander/wonder are not lost… Find what path works for you… If you are happy living on a rock, so be it.
You can call a poor man rich all you want, it won’t make him any richer.
And you can call someone ignorant and claim to be acknowledged , for example I could call you a hypocrite and would most likely deny it, so instead of a slap kick i’m just going to leave it at that
The OBVIOUS sarcasm that was put into my statement {I’m sorry from now i’ll make footnotes when i’m being humorous so the capacity doesn’t overload you} a wasted rebuttle
snarky sorrow isn’t really necessary is it?
FYI, “just in case” you didn’t know; the scripture was a REFERENCE to the rock and sand statement….had NOTHING to do with above dialogue, ok? OK now good.
I did some extensive research over the past 10 days. It took 10 days because I have other school-related obligations, which must come first.
Without further ado
For those of you who worship on the other side of the fence, I have some interesting information. This is a quote from author Joseph Campbell, Myths to Live By:
“However, according to this Muslim reading of his case, it was rather because he loved and adored God so deeply and intensely that he could not bring himself to bow before anything else, and because he refused to bow down to something inferior to him (since he was made of fire, and man from clay). And it was for that that he was flung into Hell, condemned to exist there forever, apart from his love.”
Would this suggest (clearly) that Lucifer (before becoming Satan) was actually a respectable young angel? Well, I dont know how you’d take it, but that’s how I saw it, until I read this from my own bible:
(7)And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, (8)And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. (9)And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” (Revelation 12:7-9)
I’d actually suggest reading from the beginning of chapter 12, as you’d miss the whole part about a baby being born (not Jesus). Maybe I’m not properly informed, but I questioned my knowledge base after reading this.
Any clarification would be welcome.
@ Mell
You’re awesome too
I would never deny something that most everyone has…
Just getting peopleto think before they leap…
but your sarcasm is appreciatted… You’re awesome Mell!
wink
@ Wandering
Thanks! : )
smiles come to mind
@ Magus
fair enough
great painting..but come on people, ive been told for 10 years now that the Lord is coming back. The bible is a farse. Its a book to help people live good lives. There is nothing after death.
@ Kenny
To an extent, I agree. The holy writ is a book designed for people to live good lives. As to whether or not we should take it all in as literal, or factual, or prophetic (feel free to correct me on that last one), I’m not entirely sure either. However, I’ve learned one thing that I can say is undeniable fact:
People who believe in something tend to live far better lives than people who believe in nothing.
While atheism does exist, it’s probably the only “belief system” I can’t possibly wrap my mind around. Personally, I dont care if someone is 7th day Adventist, Jewish, Muslim, or just really REALLY likes the work of Confuscious. As long as they live right, I believe they will have some kind of positive justification to their earthly deeds upon passing.
To an extent, I disagree. You nor I have seen the dead. We have not visited the “other side” and we have not died. We do not know what lies in expectancy for us once death takes its toll. Personally, I’d like to believe I live for a reason and die for a reason; it’s not as depressing as an eternal nothingness.
