Working Through the Holy Week

Hey, even Jesus had to “work” during Holy Week. All those trials he went though before the cross? That’s a lot of responsibility on his shoulders.

Me it’s the same. No vacation for this Holy Week. No sir. I’m clocking 4 to 5 rendered comic book pages a day on the 120-page graphic novel, and I would’ve kept on schedule more of the comic book art was given to me in advance. There are days I end up having to wait for inked pages to arrive. At other times, I’m waiting on my assistants for the flats. Holy Week may just be filled with many of those waiting days as assistants and the artist himself will be taking time off. Fortunately the work I’m doing is definitely for the glory of God. Before they turned it into a comic book, the story I’m coloring was already a best-seller! Made me cry, it did.

So while waiting, I go ahead and finish off Robotika pages. I’m at the last sequential page of Robotika #4 – the page which coincidentally ties all the issues together. Kudos to Alex Sheikman for getting everything done. Kudos to Archaia Studio Press for being extremely supportive throughout the whole endeavor, more power to you!

And now… CAST #9 has begun to arrive – and is due May 14. Everything’s due on May! Oh what a lovely month that’ll be. So I guess my trip abroad will have to wait.
