Local Author in Worldwide Book Collaboration Project

This is a Press Release: 20th January, 2008

Local author Irene Taniegra has been selected for a unique project involving writers from around the world to write a novel in one year.

Thought to be the most innovative book collaboration project ever, the team includes eighteen writers from across the USA, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, The Philippines and Europe.
“I am delighted to be part of this once in a lifetime experience to produce a really worthwhile literary work. There’s such diversity in the writing team and we are working on a wonderfully special novel.” says Irene.

In addition to the geographical diversity, there is a wide breadth of experience in the project ranging from complete novices to successful published authors and other literary professionals. The sponsors, Book Awards site www. AmazonClicks.com, recently announced they were delighted to count amongst the team people who had never written before but who expressed a strong desire to be part of something so inspirational. They will be guided by the more experienced working together in virtual ‘writer’s cells’. They may never meet however, as each cell will comprise individuals from around the world.

The project kicked off properly this month when all the important decisions about the genre, characters and plot were made. By December the final version will be ready to send to the publishers for a final edit.
AmazonClicks Director Peter Lihou stated he was especially pleased to welcome Irene to the project.

“It is clear that Irene will make a great contribution to our project and we very much hope the people of the Philippines will take an interest in our progress and look forward to the worldwide release that follows. They can follow Irene’s progress and that of the project on our Blog and a Web Portal set up to provide news. These are located at www.AmazonClicks.com/portal .

Although the writing team will be large by literary standards, the world is such a huge place that very few communities around the globe will be able to boast of having a local author contributing when The Book is launched, the Filipino community will be one of them! ”
