An illustration I am doing for an NGO and I believe it fits quite nicely with the “Rescue” theme was suggested by Emily Wilson.
Here are sketches I went through to get this final illustration down.
I had to make the oppressors appear like they weren’t going to beat up the women to bits. I also had to make one victim of age and appear sexually abused.

I appreciated seeing your sketches and I think you got it just right for the final imgage; the woman looks both courageous and frightened and it was good simply to suggest the aggressors.

I think you did a great job. Difficult project to draw for and to think about. The illustration makes you think, but doesn’t scare you so that you cannot look at it.
