Been a while since I did some Illustration Friday. This was done on Photoshop. I think most of us grew up with clutter, and some of us let it get into our heads.

Been a while since I did some Illustration Friday. This was done on Photoshop. I think most of us grew up with clutter, and some of us let it get into our heads.
It’s been a while since my last Illustration Friday. But seeing as that I had time for leisure, I splatter some digital paint onto Photoshop and formed this image for Illustration Friday’s Moon theme.
The Moon theme is actually very closely related to my very first Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (The Philippine’s premiere children’s book illustrators organization) exhibit piece (2005). So this new illustration draws from that.

I enjoyed growing this illustration from a chaotic blob of paint.
Hail to the one and only God & King. Hahaha! I only realized this now after finishing the illustration!
Merry CHRISTmas!!! And a Happy Happy New Year 2007.
Did this quick illustration for all my friends and relatives. May your season be as gay as… uhm… hahahahah!!!
This year has been a big year of change for my family, but for me personally? I feel I could have achieved more for myself!
At the start of the year and during the course of the year I saw a total of 3 rainbows. I took them all a sign of hope: that the amazing plans for me have yet to unfold. 3 is a nice number, one for each of us kids in the family.
Looking forward to more posts next year! Subscribe to my blog today!
To all the comic book fans and artists out there! Here’s one for you! Merry Christmas!
I thought “Help” … then I thought “Superman”..
then what? Christmas, it’s the season, of course. Candy. Kryptonite bonbons!! Tooth decay!!!
Were you expecting Superman just helping someone?

Actually I’ve been experimenting with this cleaner more animated style - using a digitally done “open-line” style of inking:
It’s been a while. I haven’t been slack illustrating, but I’ve not illustrated for Illustration Friday for a while!
I’ve been researching about — elbows recently. I had to go look at skeletons and emancipated people just so that I could figure out just how elbows work under the skin - to better draw & paint them.
So I painted an emancipated African and since Christmas is coming soon, I threw in Santa. Feed the world and be thankful you have food!

Comments welcome.
Miss an Illustration Friday? Well why not mix all the themes you’ve missed? It doesn’t have to be anything spectacular… especially when time’s hard to make.
I missed Jungle & Dance themes. So when the Rain came, I tossed them all into mix.
This is a Speed Paint done while it was raining very hard outside our home. It was on a day that really just needed a loud blast of rain (to drown out some persistently pessimistic voices in the house.) Still busy infusing a lot of detail on a major illustration for Ang-INK’s upcoming exhibit… so you can tell I was in a hurry to get this one done.
An experience just the other day did influence this piece of work. I passed by a group of high school girls. One of them had the courage (or the brashness) to approach me and ask my name and age. I gave it to them. She made a pass at me, by claiming she was 25 (just a few years below my own age.) But of course, it’s hard to believe that from a girl wearing a high school uniform. Nonetheless, I was quite impressed by her boldness, this illustration commemorates that occasion.
I’ll make it a point that if ever I miss an Illustration Friday theme that I will mix it with the next one. So it’s Cake and Sorry combined!

What you see here is another exploration into this illustration technique of using pencil lines and blending them into the digital paint. In a comic book / animation illustration style. I’ve been exploring this technique recently. You can see this also in my Illustration Friday piece for FAT
