Rusty Banana Forge

Shouldn’t it be Angels and Demons? I mean the Devil’s THE Devil. Lucifer, Satan. A demon is a fallen angel. Ho well.

Anyway this is an old image I’ve only slightly fixed up. I think it suits Mother’s Day and the Angels & Devils theme quite nicely. Who would have thought right?

Mother's Day

The pose is from a popular photograph taken during the late Princess Diana’s wedding.
Since this illustration’s old, I may do another one in the spirit of Illustration Friday.

Say Happy Mother’s Day to your mom!

I’m really thin, but that doesn’t mean I’m not fat inside!

You know I'm fat I'm fat really really fat.

Under the Sea. Under the Sea. Truly, deeply, under the sea.
Thank you (Mr. Rice, I think) for forever burning that deep into my head.

Truly under the sea

Praise Scientology! It’s a girl!

Babybot

Apparently there’s a plot in Illustration Friday to use the letter “S”. We just had 3 themes starting with the letter “S”!

I’d like to thank those who visit my blog for Illustration Friday!

Spotted Mouse from Central Manila

Illustrated above is the Black Spotted Mouse of Central Manila. It is responsible for the deadly Carpal Tunnel Plague of 2006, of which I am currently experiencing.

“Spotted” is generally a fun word. Like “Polka Dot” or “Sprinkled”. “Spotted” is normally a description for animals, I should think. So taking the two together and twisting it to suggest the opposite is hopefully interesting. As well as the fact that “Spotted” may mean “with blemish” gives the plague mouse idea some meaning.

Cute but deadly.

Spring

Spring… what do I care about it? We don’t have Spring here. Only Summer.
But then maybe they meant spring as in bounce…. well the fairy illustrated here just sprung up. There’s also a spring in the background.

Pagzy the Cosmic Turtle

And Speed? Meet Pagzy the Cosmic Turtle - skyrocketing across some planetary rings.

You can tell… I’ve been busy doing other things.

Okay “Monster”… you’d think a topic like this would’ve been done at Illustration Friday by now. My creative juices weren’t exactly oozing… so my imagination didn’t get to swim all that far. I played with the thought of mutating a beloved Disney character, I also thought an invasive parasite would be interesting… but then, in the end, I just decided on some horny smoking ogre.

How evil of me.

Illustration Friday - Feet

March 24th, 2006

I thought getting illustration themes from Illustration Friday would help exercise my conceptual muscles… Their theme this week is Feet.
